Centreville Chicopee Community Centre has reopened for select registered programs.
Centreville Chicopee Community Centre, located at 141 Morgan Ave., has been providing valued programs and activities to the surrounding community since 1979.
The centre features a single gymnasium and two meeting rooms; the building is fully accessible. We're within walking distance of public transit; visit Grand River Transit for route information and schedules. And, our facilities can be rented for your next special event or meeting.
All programming, including drop-in programming now requires registration. To register for programs, please visit ACTIVE Net.

Safety measures
For your safety, the following procedures are in place:
Access control: Public access will be controlled and limited to patrons who are registered for programs or have scheduled activities such as the use of public access computers or use of the gymnasium through the Book your Bubble program. Visitors are asked to come prepared to participate in scheduled programming as access to changerooms will be unavailable.
Pre-screening questions: Visitors will be required to successfully complete a series of health screening questions prior to entry.
Masks and face coverings: Visitors are required to wear masks upon entry and while in common areas such as lobbies, hallways or washrooms.
Physical distancing: Visitors are always required to maintain a physical distance of at least 2-meters from other patrons.
Book your Bubble Program
With the Book your Bubble program, residents can pre-book time to use a community centre gym for physical activity with their household of up to 10 people. Booking gym time is free and bookings for each 45-minute time slot can be made online, in-person or by calling the centre.
The Gymnasium time can only be used for recreational activity only. Team practices or individual coaching is not permitted.
Please note: The name and phone number of the main contact will be collected for tracking purposes. The booker must be 18 years or older and the booking must have a minimum of 1 adult in the gym for use with under people under 16 years. Users are required to bring their own recreational equipment. Staff will sweep and clean gym after each user group.
Safety for Book your Bubble participants
Users will be screened by community centre staff upon entry.
If all users pass the initial screening, they will be required to sanitize their hands and wear a mask or face covering while inside the main building.
Participants will come dressed and ready to use the gym as washrooms and changerooms are unavailable. Please note, outdoor shoes are not permitted in the gym
Participants are encouraged to bring their own water. The community centre’s water fountain can be made available to refill reusable bottles only. No other outside food or drink is permitted in the centre at this time.
Masks will not be required during gym-time. Users will have 45-minutes to use the gym space. Once your time has finished, participants must wear their mask or face covering to exit the building through the designated exit door(s).
Winter is upon us! In case of inclement weather, please follow the local school closures. If local schools are closed due to weather conditions, all Centreville Chicopee Community Association programs will be cancelled. Listen to local radio stations, City of Kitchener website and CCCA social media for weather closure updates.
For all programs run at Chicopee Hills Public School, please follow the news for any school closures that may affect the access to the school facility. If you have any questions, please contact us at the centre.
Public access computers can be reserved for up to 45 minutes per person each day. Book a reservation online or by calling the centre at 519-741-2540. Drop-ins without a reservation will be accommodated on a first come, first served basis if computers are available.
