Nothing says summer like the delicious smell of a food cart wafting through our streets.

But before local street vendors can set up shop each year, city council must review and approve our street vendor bylaw - a set of rules each vendor must follow when operating their seasonal businesses.

Once the annual bylaw is approved, prospective vendors can apply for a license.

2017 street vendor information

In 2017, license applications are due May 31; each license costs $547.

In June, we will advertise available vending locations in the local newspaper, and the vendors who have obtained their licenses can apply for their desired locations. If multiple street vendors apply for the same location, a lottery draw will take place. The winner of the draw will be awarded the location.
