Rules and Regulations

  1. To enter, qualify and confirm compliance with contest rules and regulations, please answer the question in the Facebook post. CONTEST CLOSES: February 4, 2020 at 12:00:00 EDT
  2. Prizes. There will be one (1) $50 program credit to Doon Pioneer Park Community Centre awarded. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable. One prize will be awarded per contest winner. ONLY ONE ENTRY PER PERSON IS PERMITTED. The odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received by the contest closing date.
  3. Selection Process. All selections will be made at random from among all eligible entries received by the contest closing date. The draw will be held in Kitchener, Ontario, at 4 p.m. on February 4, 2020. Selected entrants will be contacted. To win, selected entrants must first have completed a verbal declaration confirming compliance with the contest rules and have correctly answered a time-limited, skill-testing mathematical question to be administered by phone at a prearranged time.
  4. No correspondence will be entered into except with potential winners.
  5. All decisions of the City are final. Prizes will be awarded to the confirmed winner by the City and available for pick up at City Hall. All entries become the property of the City. No responsibility will be taken for entries lost, misdirected or delayed.
  6. By entering, the winners, if requested, agree to have their names and photographs used without compensation for advertising purposes related to this contest. The winners also agree that their names may be posted on the City’s website or any of its social media accounts.
  7. The contest is open to all residents of Kitchener.
  8. An entrant under the age of majority must have a parent or legal guardian consent to their participation. Proof of identification and parent consent must be provided upon request. If a parent or legal guardian does not provide consent, the entry will be disqualified.
  9. The contact information collected by the City with your entry will only be used to award the contest prizes and for purposes related to Paragraph 6. The City will not use this personal information for any other reason (unless otherwise stated) and will not otherwise disclose this personal information to any other party unless in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.   10. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, municipal and local laws and regulations. 
Building permit BBQ contest

Rules and Regulations

  1. To enter, qualify and confirm compliance with contest rules and regulations, City of Kitchener homeowners will apply for and obtain a permit for your residential deck or pool permit. Instructions on how to apply for a permit can be found at www.Kitchener.ca/BuildingPermitsCONTEST CLOSES: April 30, 2020 at 23:59:59 EDT.
  2. Applications for residential deck or pool permits where construction has started illegally, prior to obtaining a permit, will not be eligible for the prize.
  3. Prizes. There will be one (1) MASTER Chef Elite 4-Burner Stainless Steel Propane BBQ valued at over $400.00 awarded.
  4. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable. One prize will be awarded per contest winner. ONLY ONE ENTRY PER PERSON IS PERMITTED. The odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received by the contest closing date.

To win, selected entrants must first have completed a verbal declaration confirming compliance with the contest rules and have correctly answered a time-limited skill testing mathematical question to be administered by phone at a prearranged time.
  6. No correspondence will be entered into except with potential winners.
  7. All decision of the City are final. Prizes will be awarded and picked up by the confirmed winner by the City. All entries become the property of the City. No responsibility will be taken for entries lost, misdirected or delayed. (these are in the form of permit applications)
