Ball diamonds

Breithaupt Park features three baseball diamonds, and are among the premium diamonds in the City of Kitchener. The diamonds are available for booking (subject to availability); check out our Sportsfield Bookings page for more information. You may also contact us at 519-741-2200, ext. 7398.

In 2017, council approved a plan to install lights on Diamonds 1 and 2 at Breithaupt Park. Preparatory work will begin this spring with work including the installation of conduit and electrical. The lights will be installed as part of a later phase.

Parking at Breithaupt diamonds

Users of the ball diamonds are encouraged to park in the Breithaupt Centre parking lots (350 Margaret Ave) for all games and activities at Breithaupt Park. Please refrain from on-street parking.

Additional parking is available off Union St. (775 Union St.). As part of the plan to add lighting to these diamonds, council also approved work to increase parking capacity through formalized, one-way parking for the secondary parking area (former gravel lot). This work is expected to begin in April 2018 and should be completed by end of June (weather dependent). As part of a later phase, work will be completed to formalize pathways to parking areas.
