As part of the second stage in the City’s phased COVID-19 recovery plan, select City sports fields will reopen as a bookable space for sport user groups to conduct team training in groups of 10 people or less beginning July 2.

The City of Kitchener wants you to stay safe as you celebrate Canada Day in the city on July 1.

To meet physical distancing guidelines, public firework displays will not be permitted, and in-person, public events have been cancelled. Fireworks cannot be set off in municipal parks, sports fields, laneways, or on school board property.

In line with the Province’s stage two reopening, and the previously approved Kitchener Reopens framework, Kitchener City Council has endorsed a gradual, phased reopening of select city splash pads, pools, community centres and arenas.
