City
of Kitchener Rotunda Gallery Exhibition Program
The Rotunda Gallery is a public exhibition space at City Hall featuring 12 monthly shows of art work by contemporary artists. Open seven days a week, the ground floor gallery is known throughout the region for its innovative exhibits of photography, sculpture, painting, drawing, prints and mixed media. The city advertises an annual call for entry and each fall, an independent selection committee chooses the artists for the following year.
City
of Kitchener Artist-in-Residence Program
Since 1995, the artist-in-residence program has provided an opportunity for the region’s professional visual artists to design and operate special programs. Key elements of the selected artists programs have been activities or events based on promoting community outreach and professional development. The City supports the artist-in-residence through an honorarium and the provision of marketing.
