Public art master plan
Interesting places and stories ... Do you know a few?
For more than a decade, the City of Kitchener has celebrated special places by installing public art at or near them.
Each work of public art is one-of-a-kind, made just for the location where it rests.
Each tells a story about living in Kitchener.
You can help to make our future public art projects meaningful. How? By identifying places and telling us stories that have had an impact on you and your friends, neighbours and families.
What is public art?
Public art is:
- Original art, temporary or permanent
- in any medium or discipline
- placed, incorporated or performed
- in publicly accessible indoor or outdoor locations
- responsive to its site in some way, and
- is for the benefit of the community.
