Neighbourhood Park

Upper Canada Neighbourhood Park is a 0.70-hectare neighbourhood park located at 216 Farrier Drive, at the north edge of the Upper Canada Park Natural Area.

Playground Replacement

The play equipment at Upper Canada Neighbourhood Park has come to the end of its life expectancy and is scheduled to be replaced as part of the annual playground replacement schedule. This replacement also includes a new accessible asphalt pathway connection and wood fibre safety surface, to meet current guidelines for accessibility and safety.

Public engagement included an online survey that was publlshed on Engage Kitchener, as well as a Public Information Centre that was held at Doon Pioneer Park Community Centre on June 21. From these engagement activities, we reviewed resident responses regarding playground preferences, and included these preferences in our playground tender. This information also helped to guide the selection of the winning bid submission.
