Aud Expansion
Kitchener city council has approved an expansion at The Aud and help address the club's lengthy waiting list for season tickets.
The expansion will add close to 1,000 seats to the arena's capacity, as well as
-
A third-level concourse
-
A fourth-level media room and loft-style suites
-
Concessions
-
Washrooms
-
Renovated team space, including dressing rooms, player services, offices and retail areas
The added seats will bring the capacity for hockey, including suites and standing room, up to 7,600-7,800, and help reduce the 1,300 names currently on a waiting list for season tickets.
The Kitchener Rangers hockey club will fund the full cost of the expansion, which sits at $9.6 million, which the club will acquire from the city in the form of a repayable loan, based on a 15-year repayment schedule.
Construction is now underway - see for yourself!
