City CANCELS Snow Event
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR KITCHENER RESIDENTS: City CANCELS Snow Event effective Feb. 28, 2013 at 3 p.m.
(KITCHENER) The City of Kitchener has now cancelled the snow event that was originally declared on Feb. 26. Based on the amount of snow received and the condition of the roads, the snow event was extended until midnight on Feb. 28.
The city's on-street parking bylaw (three hours unless otherwise marked) remains in effect as does the city’s overnight parking prohibition which is in effect from December to March.
Common concern from residents is snow covered sidewalks from plowing activities. We will be addressing these locations beginning tomorrow, we ask for residents continued patience in these cases.
