KITCHENER – The City of Kitchener has a solution for residents looking to manage property tax and utility bills online. The new paperless service keeps Kitchener Utilities and tax accounts organized in one, convenient location. The online tool does more than deliver bills electronically. The service is available 24-7 and includes a utility consumption chart, online customer service support and payment history.
“Tax and Utility e-Billing makes it easier for customers to access and manage information,” says Dan Chapman, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer at the City of Kitchener. “The e-billing platform is linked to the city’s billing software, which makes this service different than other online delivery methods we offered in the past. Now customers can use one platform, not only to view bills for multiple accounts, but also access other information.”
Customers who register for Tax and Utility e-Billing will receive an email notification when a bill is ready to view. The notification includes the bill issue date, amount due and payment due date. The online service also allows customers to:
- View bills 24-7 from a desktop or tablet
- Review property tax and utility information in one place
- Track utility consumption month-over-month
- Download and print bills
- Submit stormwater credit applications
- Request online customer service support
- Submit meter readings
Customers who register before June 30, 2017 have a chance to win a $250 Kitchener Utilities bill credit. One winner will be drawn each week until the end of June.
Registration is easy—visit www.kitchener.ca/ebilling and click register now. Customers must use the most recent copy of their City of Kitchener property tax or Kitchener Utilities bill to sign-up.
