Purpose
The Province of Ontario proclaimed Bill 125, the Ontarians with Disabilities Act (ODA, 2001) on September 30, 2002.

The purpose of the ODA is to improve opportunities for people with disabilities and provide for their involvement in the identification, removal and prevention of barriers to their full participation in the life of the province (Sec 1). Further information about the ODA is available at www.gov.on.ca/citizenship/accessibility.

The GRAAC will fulfill the purpose of the ODA for participating municipal Councils in our community by providing vision and direction towards the removal of barriers.
