Suppression Division
The
Suppression Division of the Kitchener Fire Department is the front line.
When most people think Fire Department, this is what they are thinking
of. The Division is made up of 4 platoons, who staff the city's 7 fire
halls, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

When not responding
to calls, the crews are involved in a rigorous program to keep their skills
in the above areas sharp. In addition they participate in a number of
public education programs, such as our annual Home Fire Safety Inspections,
where crews go door to door in their neighbourhoods.
