Mike
Wagner Heritage Award
This award program was established in 1997 to recognize
and pay tribute to property owners and businesses who have contributed to the conservation
of the Citys heritage resources.
The Award
is named after former City Councilor Mike Wagner who served on City Council
from 1989 to 1997, and who was a strong advocate for heritage, culture
and the arts.
Eligibility
Individuals, businesses, organizations and institutions
who have preserved, restored or in some way helped conserve heritage resources
in the City of Kitchener are eligible.

such as bridges or monuments |

Architectural
details such as verandahs, additions, storefronts or entranceways |
Awards
Up to four awards may be presented in either of
two categories: Outstanding Achievement and Award of Merit.
Nominations
To be eligible, work on the property must be completed by Monday May 12, 2008. Work from previous years is eligible. An individual can nominate any property including his or her own. Consent of the property owner is required. Additional nomination forms are available at Kitchener City Hall (6th floor) or can be downloaded below. Please submit a photograph of the property and specific project/work which is the subject of the nomination.
Deadline for nominations is Monday May 12, 2008. To mail in a nomination form, you must return it to Kitchener City Hall. See the contact information below.
